We do require that your child be evaluated by a licensed psychologist for a thorough evaluation prior to starting medication. We require that your child stay up to date with annual well visits, quarterly weight and blood pressure checks while on stimulant medication for their ADHD.more
During your scheduled well visits, we will ask parents to fill out an Ages and Stages Developmental screening questionnaire. Your physician will use this questionnaire to determine if your child is developing on schedule. It is important to detect delays in your child’s development early, since the earlier your child receives help, the more effective the treatment.more
6mo And Up
Vision photo screening is available 6 months of age and up. Our vision photo screening screens myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism and gaze development. This screening process allows us to detect visual problems in your child at a much younger age. This is a huge advance in vision testing for young children.more
The AAP now recommends fluoride varnish treatments to help prevent tooth decay or to slow down the progression of existing decay. Fluoride varnish cannot completely prevent cavities. Brushing regularly, getting regular dental care, and eating a healthy diet will also reduce tooth decay. We will be applying fluoride varnish to your child's teeth at your 12 month, 18 month and 2 year well visits. If your child is already seeing a dentist, fluoride varnish can be applied in a dental office instead.more
Ear deformities are prominent in newborns and must be corrected in the first 2 weeks of life for optimal results. Dr. Leslie Lestz uses the Ear Well Correction System which consists of plastic molds that are applied to the child’s ear to gently reshape the ear. Dr. Lestz has been trained by Dr. Steve Byrd, the inventor of the EarWell Correction System and is certified to treat your newborns ears.more
Our ImPact certified Pediatricians use the ImPact (Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing) model which is the most widely used and most scientifically validated computerized concussion evaluation system to make safe return to play decisions. We offer walk in hours at the Frisco location only for Current Established Patients with Centennial Pediatrics. If our Walk-in Clinic fills due to high Patient volume, you will be offered the next available appointment with your Provider or Nurse Practitioner.
