Dr. Leslie Katz Lestz was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. She graduated Cum Laude from Harvard University with a degree in English and American Literature in 1994. She then completed her medical training at Emory University School of Medicine where she received her MD in 1998. Dr. Lestz completed three years of pediatric residency at Children's Medical Center of Dallas in 2001 and has been practicing general pediatrics in the Dallas/Frisco area since then. In February 2015, she accepted an appointment from the American Academy of Pediatrics to serve as the AAP Chapter Champion for EHDI (Early Hearing Detection and Intervention) for the state of Texas. In addition, she serves on several state committees through the Texas Department of State Health Services including the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Leadership Council and the Medical Home Workgroup. In her spare time, she enjoys indoor cycling, pilates, learning ASL (American Sign Language), reading and cooking for her 4 "foodies." She lives in Dallas, Tx with her husband, 3 children, and Australian Labradoodle, Hudson.
